Hillevi Munthe (NO) & Elisabeth Schimana (AT) YOU NEVER KNOW
The sculpture is a tactile, intimate sound space designed to accommodate one person. It invites the visitor to enter and touch it. It reacts.
In a totally wired world where distance and time shrink to zero, and big brother or sister is watching you around the clock, its time to think deeply about intimacy. Intimacy is mainly based in the subconscious mind, it’s something wild that expresses itself in innumerable and unforseeable forms. So how do we deal with no distance; how do we create our borders and being transparent at the same time? How do we manage the force of digital culture to be permanently connected?
