UNITEXT is an exhibition where curators together with artists will pursue a concept that is novel and unfamiliar in the cultural context and will consolidate it by presenting practical examples. We will go into the question of unitext, which is the latest link in work -> text -> intertext -> hypertext -> unitext semiotic chain of philosophic/art criticism/artistic field.

8th Kaunas Biennial was finally closed on 23rd December, 2011

SEVERAL FACTS ABOUT 8th EDITION OF KAUNAS BIENNIAL:
•    Kaunas Biennial TEXTILE’11: REWIND – PLAY – FORWARD was most visited edition since its establishment in 1997. About 50 000 visitors had opportunity to visit 22 exhibitions in about 10 galleries and public spaces of Kaunas City.
•    Together with Fluxus exhibition participants (220), Biennial presented 400 artists from 53 countries! We are more than happy that about 250 artists came for opening week to Kaunas and made our city breath internationally.

This course is an introduction to the experimental practice of this Japanese designer, who is renowned for her use of craft processes in industrial production. Reiko Sudo intends to undertake practical work with her course participants in rust dyeing processes. Specific prior knowledge is not required.
