This is beautiful, Danielle: Understanding [the rsiotianehlps between Fluxus and ab-ex, between Fluxus and Soho, etc.] is crucial in order to create a good map. [T]he map itself will help me to understand the rsiotianehlps I am attempting to map better. I want to incorporate the information I found on Maciunas’ maps to my map, I also would like to map when and where he created his series of maps. Creating a network, rather then a collection of addresses is my ultimate objective for my project. How interesting. You want to combine two forms of mapping information mapping or data visualization, like Maciunas’ Expanded Art Diagram; and cartographic mapping of Fluxus’s urban landscape. And yes, rather than mapping simply for the sake of plotting out a collection of addresses, you want to provide some context, to reveal the connective tissues social, aesthetic, etc. tying together these addresses into a spatio-cultural network. I’m excited to watch your conceptualization of this project evolve!
