LOVE STORY. STRIP SEARCH. 2010.

Photography on metal plate

The photography series Love story. Strip Search record details of my (female) body with short texts composed of human (my husband’s, artist’s Kęstutis Grigaliūnas) hair glued on my skin. This “growth” on wrong places of female body represents short, trivial, desperate messages on love, existential insecurity and anxiety.

The photography series Love story. Strip Search looks at the fundamental human need for oneness and establishing the love relationship. In particular, I focus on the need of physical sensation as love aspect as well as discomfort and suffering caused by it.

Short story: I love. Do you love me? Avoid exposure to strong love. I miss you, I hate you. I don’t love you. Don’t die for love. Detestation. Stigma of human hair on female crucifix.
