The International Textile Students’ Exhibition STATE OF EXCEPTION, organized by the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Kaunas Faculty of Art also focuses its sights forward, has raised generations of creative artists, who have not only participated in the exhibitions and projects of the biennial, but also are creating them. Student exhibition curator and Head of the Department of Textiles Associate Professor Vita Gelūnienė invited collectives from the textile departments of neighboring countries with whom the department in Kaunas has worked with in various projects, to choose and present the best works of their students. We will see the works of students from the Vilnius Academy of Arts (Prof. Eglė Ganda Bogdanienė, Laura Pavilonytė), University of Gothenburg (Prof. Annika Ekdahl), the Estonian Academy of Arts, Tallinn (Prof. Piret Valk), and Tartu Art College (Prof. Aet Ollisaar), Latvian Academy of Arts, Riga (Prof. Ieva Krumina), and the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Łódź (Prof. Włodzimierz Cygan).
